Super Pro

Vicki Strell captured Super Pro, her second win in a string of
three finals in-a-row. The Mission racer will move up from the fifth
spot in points as leader Martin Rachel lost in round one to Tom
Brown who runnered-up. Second in points going in, Ken Orser lost
in round one to Dan Parsons, and fourth place Ron MacKenzie was
a semi finalist today.
Strell was beside a red lighting Al Quigley in the opening round
followed by a close one over third place Jim Behnke in two, then
running her number to the zero against Parsons in the semi before
forcing Brown to go under his 10.90 dial at 10.899. Strell had a
.012, Brown a .019. The always clean '71 Demon going 10.284 on a
.25.

Dave Jung won Pro over Bruce Flodin after taking out points leader
Cory Ferguson in round two. Jung's numbers were .036/11.273 on an
11.26 dial as Flodin's pickup went .024 then under at 12.925 on
his .93. Second place Dan Dancey lost in round two, defending track
champ, currently in third place, Chris Stone lost in round one and
Wolf Sickinger was defeated by Flodin in round threee.

Sportsman

Martin Dykstra won both Hot Rod, padding his points lead over Bill
Clifford, and Sportsman, where he will move up from the tenth points
spot. Sportsman runner up today in the ex-Bill Wells '74 Vegas,
was Nick McKay, and in Hot Rod second went to Bruce Stertz who makes
this class a tight three way points battle with Clifford and Dykstra.
MacKay from Mission, 'the tower guy' at Ashcroft, defeated Kelly
Marvetz in round one then her husband, and points leader, Phil Marvetz
in the third.

Kevin Brennan moved out on Al Omond in bike points with a win here
today, once again a very quick, entertaining eight second winning
pass, this time over Dan Tempel, who has come back strong after
a long lay off.

Cowichan Bay's Tayler Vogel won his second Jr Dragster race two
weeks after his first, with an impressive final round win over Rachel
Lowe - putting in a great performance after not running much of
the year.

Brad Vinje is making it close with Ken Orser in Lordco Super Combo
after a win over Ron MacKenzie. Orser's Super Gas roadster is up
