2008 Lucas Oil NHRA National Open 'Parking Day'.

A few test passes on a track rental day sees nothing significant going down. Surface said to be good to just past half when a lack of rubber makes it a bit loose. That will be solved tomorrow when all kinds of cars will be out testing. Leading the way will be a blast-from-the-past, the return of Craig 'Twig' Zeigler and the Pizza Haven Plymouth.

Come out and see this northwest legend return to the nitro driver's seat and go for three runs tomorrow and three more Saturday!

Other Thursday Stuff...

John Evans says he's growing a pony tail.

John Breckenridge has been a nitro player for a few years now, his two wheel record as stout as any other in the northwest.
Here at Mission you can get a great look at an amazing rig. The bus, purchased off ebay, once toured Leanne Rimes.

The most dominant street car in the northwest for the past couple of years, Rash Dhaliwal's Mustang has been having all kinds of issues since making to the move to alcohol for 2008. Just recently the guys got it together and he's just waiting for a race track.

Chuck Glanz's pit is right across from that neat lil Horsepower Heaven golf cart trailer. As you admire the work of John Evans of G & M Trailer, look across the way at Chuck Glanz's Top Dragster. The paint is the best skull work this writer has ever seen...period, it's eye-popping! He then lifted the truck hood and really showed off some art.

It's July, it's Mission, it's nitro, it's Pro Street, it's Funny Cars, it's Dragsters, it's Top Comp...it's wheelstanding Super Stockers...and it's even more!

Gates Open tomorrow at 8 for the hard core few who just can't miss a thing...time trials 10-3, Ashcroft National Open rainout starts 4:00 p.m.
